Overview

The Price Chart widget on the Fastmarkets Dashboard allows you to compare price movements between two markets, this means you can create a spread. The functionality is available only for physical prices, and not exchange data. It's important to mention that in order to create a spread you must add at least two instruments on the Price Chart widget.

Video tutorial

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.

How to

  • Navigate to an existing Price Chart widget, or create a new widget.
  • Ensure you have at least two markets added to the Price Chart widget.
  • Click on the "Create spread" button → select the base market and the comparison market → click “Create”.
  • The spread is displayed on the chart as a separate instrument, and can identified by the “spread” label.

Quick tip

Use the “data table” view of the Price Chart widget to see the price and spread data in a table.

Important to remember

Spreads are only available for physical prices and won't allow you to use exchange data in the spread creation.
