Decimal places setting when using Conversion
A quick walk through of how you can set the number of digits after the decimal when using Conversion.

Overview
You can control the number of digits after the decimal when using the conversion feature on the Fastmarkets Dashboard. The decimals setting allows you to select between 2-10 decimal places when applying conversions.
Converting currency and units of measure is available on the following Dashboard widgets
- Single Price Tile
- Price Chart
- Multi Price Table
- Historic Price Table
How to
- Navigate to any of the above-mentioned widgets on a workspace on the Dashboard.
- Click on the widget actions button - 3 dots in the top right corner. And then click "convert currency/unit".
- Add your conversion requirements and decimal place settings. Choose between 2-10 digits after the decimal place.
- Click “convert”. Conversion and decimal place settings are stored on user/account level and will persist even if the user logs out and then logs back in.

Quick tip
The following export options respect the decimal setting as well: “Copy values only“, “CSV”, “XLSX”, “PDF”. Note: Excel add-in doesn't respect the decimal settings.
Important to remember
Conversion on the Dashboard is not supported for our exchange prices, if you add an exchange price to a widget - conversion will not be available.
