Overview

You can control the number of digits after the decimal when using the conversion feature on the Fastmarkets Dashboard. The decimals setting allows you to select between 2-10 decimal places when applying conversions.

Converting currency and units of measure is available on the following Dashboard widgets

  • Single Price Tile
  • Price Chart
  • Multi Price Table
  • Historic Price Table

How to

  • Navigate to any of the above-mentioned widgets on a workspace on the Dashboard.
  • Click on the widget actions button - 3 dots in the top right corner. And then click "convert currency/unit".
  • Add your conversion requirements and decimal place settings. Choose between 2-10 digits after the decimal place.
  • Click “convert”. Conversion and decimal place settings are stored on user/account level and will persist even if the user logs out and then logs back in.

Quick tip

The following export options respect the decimal setting as well: “Copy values only“, “CSV”, “XLSX”, “PDF”. Note: Excel add-in doesn't respect the decimal settings.

Important to remember

Conversion on the Dashboard is not supported for our exchange prices, if you add an exchange price to a widget - conversion will not be available.
