Viewing News

MyDesk contains key headlines about or affecting the exchange markets coming from Fastmarkets editorial teams. On the Advanced tab you can view the top news reports and the latest news headlines. 

You can carry out a keyword search in the Latest News widget by typing into the Search bar for any word or phrase and clicking on Search.

In the Content Finder if you have a MyDesk product that includes news, you can access the Base Metal News menu to view filtered news by market, eg Copper.

If you do not have news included in your subscription, please contact your account manager.

Research and Analysis

Access key headlines and content from the Fastmarkets Research and Analysis team. Get an overview of how macro economics are influencing the market, get a picture of where Fastmarkets analysts see the market moving for today or in the near term. View what the funds are doing in the metal markets and see what’s coming out this week.

Clients that have access to MyDesk Pro have access to Research and Analysis in their product. If you don’t have access to this content and would like to view it, please contact your account manager.

Research and Analysis articles can be found in the Research tab of the standard screen.

If you would like to find these widgets in the Content Finder, they are under Base Metals Research and Analysis. You can add these headlines into your screen by clicking on the column number you would like to embed the analysis into your existing workspace. Alternatively click the pop out arrow to create a temporary pop up tab to view the articles.

Report types:

• Top Reports – reports focused on economic statistics being released this week
• Technical Analysis – published daily for the base metals

• Fundamental and Market Analysis – weekly commitment of trade analysis for CME and LME
• Metal Spotlights - overview of the latest happenings per metal. Published at the end of each month in a PDF format. 

You can also click on each metal in the menu and view all of the above reports from a metals perspective, eg Copper.
