Exporting Data and Graphs in Analytical Cornerstone

Analytical Cornerstone provides two types of exports: Data Export and Graph Export. Each export type generates a file based on what you are currently viewing in the application.

1. Export Data (Excel)

The Data Table export creates a Microsoft Excel (.xls) file containing all data visible in the table.

How to Export Data

  1. Go to the Data tab of any report.
  2. Locate the Export button above the table on the right‑hand side.
  3. Click Export to start the download.

Result:
An Excel file is generated with the complete dataset shown in the table, matching your current filters, date selections, and market settings.

2. Export Graph (PDF, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, JPEG)

The Graph Export allows you to export the current chart or cost curve in your preferred file format.

Available Formats

  • PDF
  • Excel
  • Word
  • PowerPoint
  • JPEG image

How to Export a Graph

  1. Navigate to the Graph tab of your report (e.g., Cash Cost Curve, Emissions Curve).
  2. Find the Export button above the graph on the right‑hand side.
  3. Click Export and choose the desired file format.

Result:
A file containing the exact graph as displayed (including highlights, labels, and Compare Dates overlays) will download.

Summary

Export Type Location Output Format
Data Export Above Data Table Excel (.xlsx)
Graph Export Above Graph PDF, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, JPEG

Both export buttons always appear on the right-hand side of their respective sections, making it quick and easy to extract data and visuals for reports, presentations, and analysis.

Custom Exports in Analytical Cornerstone

Analytical Cornerstone provides a Custom Exports tool that allows users to export data from multiple reports into a single Excel file. This is especially useful because each individual data report normally exports into its own separate sheet. Custom Exports streamline this process, allowing you to bundle several datasets into one unified output.

The Custom Exports panel is located on the right-hand side of the Custom Market tabs.

What Custom Exports Can Do

With the Custom Exports feature, you can build a combined export that may include:

  • Cash Cost data
  • Cost breakdown by type of fiber (Natural fiber (wood), Market pulp, Recycled fiber)
  • Direct Cost
  • Total Cost
  • Productivity of Labor and per Machine
  • Consumption of Chemicals, Energy and Fiber
  • Furnish
  • Delivered cost to all destinations available in Analytical Cornerstone

This allows you to produce a consolidated dataset ideal for:

  • Internal benchmarking
  • Cross‑market cost analysis
  • Preparing PowerPoint/Excel summaries
  • Integrating AC outputs into internal BI systems

How to Use Custom Exports

1. Open Your Custom Market

Navigate to any Custom Market you’ve created in Analytical Cornerstone.

2. Locate the Custom Exports Section

On the right-hand side of the tabs, you’ll see the Custom Exports panel.

3. Select the Reports to Include

Choose one or multiple data reports, such as:

  • Cost
  • Productivity
  • Consumption
  • Furnish

Note that Emissions data is exported when Consumption of Energy is checked on the Custom Exports.

4. Export the Combined File

Once you’ve selected all the reports you want:

  • Click Export
  • Analytical Cornerstone will create a single Excel workbook
  • Each selected report will appear as a separate sheet within that workbook

Use cases Quick single‑report extraction Comprehensive analysis, multi‑dataset workflows

Custom Exports – Mill Summary Export

Analytical Cornerstone includes a Custom Exports – Mill Summary Export option that allows you to quickly export all Mill Summaries and Mill Flowsheets for every mill in your current market—all at once.

This eliminates the need to open each mill individually and download its Summary and/or Flowsheet one by one, saving significant time when preparing reports, presentations, or due‑diligence packages.

What Mill Summary Export Includes

When running a Mill Summary Export, AC will bundle for every mill in your selected market:

  • Mill Summary Report
  • Mill Flowsheet

Note that Mill Summary or Mill Flowsheets can be deselected if only one type is required.

Where to Find It

  1. Navigate to your Custom Market.
  2. On the right‑hand side of the custom market tabs, locate the Custom Exports panel.
  3. Choose Mill Summary Export.

How It Works

  1. Select Mill Summary Export from the Custom Exports panel.
  2. Analytical Cornerstone automatically gathers:
    • All Mill Summaries
    • All Mill Flowsheets
for the mills visible in your current market.
  3. AC creates a consolidated download package containing every selected mill’s reports.

This is particularly helpful when working with multiple mills across a region or grade, where summaries and flowsheets must be shared with colleagues, management, or customers.

Advantages of Mill Summary Export

  • Time‑efficient: No need to download reports separately for each mill.
  • Consistent: Ensures all reports come from the same Cost Date / Balance Date selection.
  • Comprehensive: Includes both Summary and Flowsheet—key mill‑level analysis tools
  • Ideal for reporting: Perfect for M&A screening, supplier benchmarking, or internal reviews.
