How many mills are cost benchmarked?

Fastmarkets cost benchmarking currently contains close to 2,700 active pulp and paper mills and over 400 selected active lumber wood products mills*. Historical data for inactive or closed mills can still be viewed in Analytical Cornerstone if they were previously cost benchmarked.

*Lumber and wood products mills include about 275 dimensional lumber mills, approximately 20 MDF, 65 OSB and 50 Plywood mills in North America.

It is possible to find out via the Mill Asset Database which mills are benchmarked. On the search results' Assets report (below the map), scrolling all the way to the right "Benchmark Indicator" shows which mills are cost benchmarked.
