Corrugated box statistics

The Paper Packaging Monitor shows US Containerboard/Box statistics on Table A1 (Appendix tables), and within the market story on Containerboard/Boxes of PPI Pulp & Paper Week.

These tables are updated quarterly as Fastmarkets depends on statistic sources like the Fibre Box Association that provides its numbers (shipments, cutup and plant inventories) on a quarterly basis since December 2021. Other sources for these statistics include the AF&PA (mill inventories and raw annual capacity) and the US Bureau of Census (trade data). Fastmarkets provides seasonal adjustments, assumed capacity changes and numerous calculations. 

In the Paper Packaging Monitor, monthly data for boxboard and containerboard shipments and inventories is published after completion of the quarter.
