Custom Markets - Regional Cost

The regional unit costs report displays the regional unit cost values for the defined custom market (region/countries and grade/product selected).

Report Options

Cost Date: Shows the most recent cost date available by default. Use the Cost Date select box to choose a quarter and display costs for an earlier period.

Currency: Displays Natural Currency by default. Natural currency refers to the local currency used in each country included in the market. You can select an alternative currency from the following options:

  • Natural Currency
  • Preferred Currency (currency selected under Preferences)
  • US Dollar
  • Euro

The Regional Unit Costs report shows All cost items by default. You can click on Fiber, Chemical, Energy, Misc (for Miscellaneous cost) or Labor to see the regional cost for those items exclusively.

The relevant report can be exported to Excel via the Export button on the right-hand side. Clicking on Export Trend will export the cost in each quarter for the past 10 years.

Note: in some instances where more specific information is known, Fastmarkets RISI will make adjustments to the regional unit cost data for mills and machines. These adjustments are indicated on the Cost Reports of the Mills section, under Adjust and Mill Cost:
