This page and video explains how to download and install the Excel add-in.

Installation

Prerequisites

In order to use Fastmarkets’ Excel Add-in, please ensure you are working with the following: 

Windows versions – Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 10 

Microsoft Excel versions – 2010 or later (32  and 64 bit) 

• Please note: Fastmarkets’ Excel Add-in is not supported on Mac operating systems 

Microsoft .NET Framework version -  .NET Framework 4.5.2 

Downloading and installing the Fastmarkets Excel Add-in

Click here to download the latest edition of Fastmarkets’ Excel Add-in 
You will be prompted to enter your username and password, then click on the purple “Sign in” button.

If you are an existing Fastmarkets subscriber, you will log in using your Fastmarkets username and password. If you are a new user, your username is the email address associated with your account, and you should have received an email with instructions on how to set up your password. If you have not, you may wish to check your email junk folder for emails from hello@fastmarkets.com. 

Upon signing in, you will be taken to the page from which you’ll download Fastmarkets’ Excel Add-in.  

Click on the purple “Download” button and, once the download has finished, run the program to complete the installation. 

Please note the installation should be run from your own account rather than from admin account. For technical/IT users requiring installation for multiple users, then it should be run from admin’s account with MSIINSTALLPERUSER=“” parameter. Please see the "OTHER FAQS FOR SYSTEM ADMINISTRATORS section in the below FAQ's for further information. 

Logging into the Excel Add-in

Launch Excel and open a new workbook. You should notice a Fastmarkets tab in the Excel toolbar and a key icon with the word “Login” in the top-left corner. Click on the key icon, and a new window will open, prompting you to enter your username and password. You should enter the same username and password you used to download Fastmarkets’ Excel Add-in. Then click on the purple “Sign in” button.

You will then be prompted to read and accept the Terms and Conditions, Privacy and Cookie policies. This will only appear again if any of these change. 

Congratulations! You are now ready to begin using Fastmarkets’ Excel Add-in.

Uninstallation/Repairing

Should you need to uninstall the Excel Add-in, please ensure the Fastmarkets Excel Add-in is removed via: 

Apps & Features > Fastmarkets Excel Add-in – click once then click Uninstall.

Please note – any Fastmarkets Excel Add-in files should not be deleted directly from the installation folder. This will cause any future installations to fail.
