What is the Index Builder?

The Index Builder is a tool to look back in history to make sense of the evolution of the should-cost of packaging, using a different view on Fastmarkets' data: market prices and cash (production) cost info (paper mill cost). It helps packaging buyers to understand their suppliers’ cost based on weighted average of the mills in that market. The Index Builder represents a negotiating tool that is fair and constructive for both parties.

The Index Builder is mostly used by buyers of finished paper packaging, but it can also be used by packaging converters/corrugators.
